Sound system issue
Hello members. i have an issue with my H/K system in my E63 Wagon. i was quite happy with how it sounded till the last week or so. I got in my car this morning and it seemed to lost nearly all of its bass. Sounds like amp went out honestly but I am not sure just yet. Anyone had the problem like that ? is there any way to confirm that ? I removed the amp to check the connections and get the part numbers but connections look clean. however bass isn’t there anymore. that’s for sure. I dont want to upgrade the system so I will probably end up buying a used one on known website just wanted to know if anyone had similar issue.

I believe the wiring that goes to the sub is brown and yellow/brown. You can tap into these and run to a separate speaker and see if it's getting signal. Or you can simply look under the rear deck with the flashlight and see if the speaker is moving or if it's seized or something.

Thing is that there’s sound from all the speakers. Just hardly any bass. That’s why I am leaning toward burned something that gives high power. It doesn’t take much power to drive high/midrange. It takes power to run low frequencies.I just thought someone had similar issue.
