Paranoia speaking here, but the dealer I'm getting the car from isn't one I trust too much. Only the sales lady I deal with is a person I respect. I'm paranoid that my car will arrive and they'll let some other clients test drive it before I get to drive it off the lot.
Is this fear justified? How many miles should I reasonably expect to see on the odometer, upon my taking possession of the car?
When I bought my SUV, I got it with 6 miles on the car.
What do you guys think? What have you seen?

Just tell them to call you when the car is being taken off the truck, and ask them not to prep the car without you being there. They will not test drive a car that still has plastic all over it's panels. Tell them if anybody else drives the car you don't want it.

FWIW, I bought the pewter car in the sig off the lot the day after it arrived and it had 7.5 miles on the odo. At the same time, dgussin1's suggestions for the handling the incoming delivery of the new car make great sense.
