614 Coolant Temperature value problem
Hey guys!
Have anyone experienced this? The actual value for the coolant temperature sensor is really weird. It shows -279 volts, and prevents running road test procedures in Star diagnostic tester.
Yet the ECU engine temperature reading is fine, and also the instrument panel.
Bug in the ECU software maybe?
Thankful for any tips on the matter!

Normally I would agree, but the engine temperature when measured in degrees celcius is normal when checking the ECU values. Also it shows the correct temperature in the instrument cluser.

I know, right? And the value must be wrong, since this value specifically prevented my mechanic from running roadtest procedures with the Star Diagnosis. Therefore I am thinking it's some kind of ECU problem. I have contacted a mercedes workshop, hoping to see if there are any updates for the ECU software.

@Jarbra I have the same value. Please note, I replaced mine with an OE MB sensor on the 1st of August when I replaced the water pump.
Thank you so much for the help this far!

I will have to check the temperature sensor, but since the values are good I think that is not the problem.
Back to the start I guess. Soon there is nothing left except the ECU.
I tried cleaning the connectors for Throttle body and Bypass valve. It feels maybe a little bit better, but perhaps placebo. The problems are definitely still there..
