Flex Plate
Is there a maintenance schedule for the flex plate ? If not has anyone changed it for preventative maintenance?

I’ve never heard of any m113k flexplate breaking.. They are pretty strong parts. I suppose if the starter wore the ring gear out it would need to be replaced.

My car has almost 160k miles on it and the flex disks still look pretty good. I have a set of new disks, but am waiting until I pull the transmission to do the rear main seal.

Use and environmental factors play a big part in how they hold up. If yours are cracked, it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them.
