2005 Carlsson CD32 E320 CDI Inline-6
About 300 Ft per second....
The car is travelling about 300 ft per second....in the 1.5-3.0 distracted seconds it takes to get the picture, the car has travelled between 450 and 900 feet.
Here's why I think the picture is on a dyno and not on the highway:
1) The lunacy of the whole deal....who can be smart enough to furnish a good/service to the economy with enough acumen and efficiency such that there is a profit (or wage) left over that can support an $80,000 car and yet be so stupid.....must be either an heir to and estate, rocker, or lotto winner.
2) Take a straight edge and line it with the vertical line of the MB star and project it upward....you will see that either the steering wheel is WAY off center, or the car is in a sharp right hand turn. (Very sharp turn at 200 MPH...think about how just how minor wheel inputs maneuver the car even at just 65 MPH). He better have ailerons on the car to pull that off at 200 knots.

Yes I drive fast with one hand, have done it at 160. At 200mph? No, does anyone care other than you, I doubt it. There are plenty of skilled people out there that feel perfectly comfortable driving very quickly at that speed, to say otherwise is just plain silly IMO. It all depends on the cars characteristics of course.
The reason I responded to this thread in the first place is because it is a fact that this car will do this speed! I don't care whether you believe me or not, with the car completely delimited it WILL get to 200 and beyond with tuning done to the car. Carlsson's E55 has done 200mph+.
If you doubters would look on other MB websites you might find the proof.
If you need a starting place, goto www.rennteam.com and look at the past posts regarding the E55 from people who drive close to 200 mph every single day.

Very possible. Autobahns are designed for high speeds because they are curved quite at large grades on turns.
If he was on a dyno, why would he test top speed nor need to actually turn when testing the car on a dyno? Makes no logical sense.
Knowing that we can have a scramjet airplane reaching mach 10, why can't a car do some high speeds? We have the technology to do it and in a few ways it is proven here.

MBWorld Fanatic!
It is amazing how certain people are quick to debunk claims of E55 owners on how their car performs. The W211 can achieve top speed of 200mph so I suggest many of you disbelievers just get over it.
