Welcome to the world of M-B decontenting. See: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=console and do a search on the MBWorld W211 E-Class forum for much more thorough results.

I said "Welcome to the world of M-B decontenting", not "welcome to the forum". Both your reading and search skills could use some improvement (not to mention the spelling errors in your sig)!

My only thought here was, gee, he's replacing an almost new E55 with the same car. Whats the point of spending all that money to pass time before getting a car he really wants, the CLS55.

Now if you say the 2005 is a much much better car, I guess that logic I can understand. So, just what about the new car is so much better, the options, the color, the center console, the spare tire, the superior service since it now costs money?

Listen, I'm just giving you a hard timbrothers you know.e. I know what you do is your business and I know you're heavily into these cars from reading your posts. I'm glad you didn't take offense. We're E55 brothers you know.

"lost" you rented the vehicle , get a great tax deduction 100% of the rent , insurance and registartion as it is a valuable tool for your biz. Alease is a great tool for folks that do not keep cars more than 12-36months. I replace my car every 24-36 months. Congrats on your new vehicle, someday I wanna be JUST LIKE YOU.hehehe

You could also offer a LEASE assumption

Rather than just a straight sale, give the buyer choices and flexibility. A lease assumption is ez as long as the buyers credit score is above say 650(fico). This way the benefit from your purchase and you benefit from not having several payments. Just an idea

I guess when I get a CLS55 this year and still keep the E55, I should keep it under wraps so to not get so much criticisms.

Whats the big deal? I am getting my car e55 in the next 5 days and also have a cls 55 on order. I am not sure if I will definatly take the cls but if I do who cares. I usually trade my daily driver in every 8 to 12 months, and usually take a a big hit, but we all know cars are a depreciating asset. My name is Duane and I have car "add" and I am proud of it.

2005 Brilliant Silver E55
I just bought a CL55 and picking up my CLS55 tomorrow.

BTW, I noticed the CLS55 has a deeper and a "more free" exhaust tone than the E and CL...what is it?

This is not that difficult. The way I read it, if he sells the old car for his asking price, he get's out of the old lease clean. If the new lease is similar, nothing really changes for him. There is not much money being thrown away at all here. If anything this would be the smarter move. He paid 1400 to drive the car when new, and will not have to keep paying the same 1400 a month to drive the car when it's old.

Chill, if you want to scold someone it should be me. I paid cash for all my cars.

I with you on that one brother since I should be scolded for doing the same on two of my vehicles (specifically, the Beast).
