190E 2.5-16 EVO II questions

Hello- I realize I am in the wrong forum but hoping someone can be of assistance with this information. I have recently purchased a 190E 2.5-16 EVO II with only 2,800 km. The car is in fantastic condition, certainly one of the very finest remaining examples. My problem is the dust cover boots and bump stops for the rear shock absorbers have deteriorated. The shocks seem to be operating fine. Does anyone know where I can purchase these? Or if not available something extremely similar that I can substitute? Or 2 correct replacement rear shocks? Thank you in advance!

Are you asking about this kind of boot? Do you have the MB part number for what you are looking for?

On a shock absorber they are usually called "bellows" and protect the shaft seals of the shock absorbers. Bump stops could be a generic replacement; many out there.

So... recommend OP internet search on "shock absorber bellows" and "shock absorber bump stops".

I have found in the MB parts catalog part number 129 323 01 92 for front shocks bellows. If the OP will post the VIN I can confirm that is, in fact, the correct part number for his car.

machild thank you for trying to help me. I need the bellows and bump stops for the rear shocks not the front. This car has the self leveling suspension. Thank you again!

The rear strut has the bellow as part of the strut. MB does not sell the rear bellow as a seperate service item as they do with the front. That one is going to be tough to source. Good luck.
