Airmatic failure 1 week after buying
Got in my car today to see a “stop car too low” on the cluster, got out and saw my car was fully dropped in all 4 corners (the back is lower than the front). It was fine when driving last night. Press the raise button and nothing happens.
based on this I’m guessing the compressor has stopped working, how loud should it sound with my ear next to wheel arch and should this kick in as soon as I start the car ? If I figure out it is the compressor is a straight replacement the best option ?
What other possibilities could this be as I’m guessing not a leak due to fact it’s been sat fine for the past week with the same amount of time in-between drives.
cheers.

Do you have something like star/autel/icarsoft? You can test the compressor from each of those devices. For basic understanding, see this informative post from FCP euro: https://blog.fcpeuro.com/the-definit...pension-system
I’ve looked through other forum posts and there’s like 1000 different suggestions due to slightly different issues. Mine being all 4 sides dropped and not raising at all- could it be a leak on an individual strut meaning compressor is working fine but not building enough pressure to raise ?
I don’t have any of those diagnostic tools, only a standard OBD fault reader. I’m going to take a look at the compressor, fuses and relay this afternoon but other than the obvious checks for leaks/powering on correct/ visible damage etc, I wouldn’t know what else to check if those seem fine.
thanks.

I printed out a copy for me to keep in my car. You will find the airmatic fuse
