Airmatic rear bag replacement process
Hi all, just wondering if any advice is available on how to ensure correct installation setup of a replacement airbag when you don't have access to a STAR unit.
I have a new bag with a bag alignment tool. The info I've seen varies from replacement as removal, turn the key and off you go. To the Bilstein guide involving many measurements and a tool to inflate the bag in stages.
Is it as simple as installing the bag, reattaching all the disconnected bits and pieces then, using the alignment tool, tighten the air bag bolt in the control arm. Then putting the wheel back on, lowering the car slightly to a more or less level ride then starting the engine to pressurise the bag??
My replacement bag is an OEM type e.g still using the reservoir pipe etc.
