2006 E55 AMG For Sale

Crazy low mileage 06 E55 for sale with a crazy price. I have not viewed this car and have NO affiliation with this dealer in the SF Bay Area...
https://www.northstateauto.com/vehic...ca-id-55857679

I don't post much here, but lurk a fair amount. I have a 2005 E55 with just under 72k miles, 3rd owner and I've considered selling it on several occasions. Mainly due to the fact that I don't drive it much and my wife gives me grief about only driving it maybe 100 miles a month for the past 6 years or so. I just can't let this car go, I love it! Amazing clean condition, only mods are a 77mm supercharger pulley with belt wrap kit and scatter shield. Eurocharged ECU and TCU tune, resonator delete. The air suspension is starting to fail, that will need to be addressed in the near future. Anyways, I feel that my car has a (as is) value of maybe $20-22K. It's super clean and runs flawlessly. Not fully optioned, doesn't have keyless go, pano roof and so on but.

This dealer listing an 06 E33 for $49,900 with 13,479 miles...

Thoughts ?

Damn, and here I thought my car was one of the lowest 06s - not even close! Bet it smells new, too..

There is also a black one that I kept track of and finally just stopped following it. It was a one-owner, Florida car with gorgeous OEM steel gray rims. It had something like 9K miles (I stopped following it around the year end holidays in 2022). Not sure if that car ever sold , was listed for $51K for maybe a week. Those are the rare gems that'll be kept and pop up 10 years from now for double, hell, triple the price simply from a rarity perspective (just take a look at the older BMW M cars - eg M Coupe (clownshoe), E39 M5s, E36 M3s etc.).

Once the car goes pass certain mileage, the value drops significantly regardless of how desirable the car is. I spent long enough time on the enthusiast sites that I feel comfortable commenting on price related threads.
The break out mileages are under 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K and under 50K. Once you go pass 50,000 miles and continue to drop the closer you start inching towards the 100K mark.
After 50K, the next breaking point is 70K as the new owner might think what the car might be worth if he puts on 10-15K miles making it a 85,000 mile car now.
If this car had options, closer to 60K miles and well maintained, Id say 20-25K and with it's current state, Id say 14-16 give and take.
These E55 are great cars but around 70-80K miles, they start needing lots of maintenance too
Hope that helps

That was right down the street from where my brother used to live. ( He moved a short while back). That is a high end area so there are a lot of low mileage cars is excellent shape.
