A little over 3 weeks ago i installed a 83mm supercharger pulley on my 2003 w211 E55 and catless long tubes. After the first week and a few pulls the car felt great, but when I was cruising on the highway i got a CEL for P2007-008 B28 (Pressure sensor) Signal implausible. Car felt fine and drove fine, i cleared the codes with the star system and for a while it didn't come back. Have been doing a few on ramp pulls and having fun with the car and still no codes but today when just cruising on the highway at 80-85mph, i accelerated slightly to pass some one. Not much or for very long but enough to downshift to 4th, after letting off the check engine light came back on. The light went away after shutting it off and starting it a few times but it has the same code, any idea on what could cause this? Car has been tuned by V-tech, I haven't touched the Throttle body and it has only 76k miles on it. It also has a smaller new SC belt. Never had an issue like this when stock.
Yeah, i thought it was a tuning issue but in the meantime just in case it is a coincidence, im replacing the MAF sensor until V-tech gets back to me to help just narrow it down.
Still having the light on, went and bought a map sensor from my local mb dealership. Will install it sometime this month and see if it still is having issues.

Any update on this? I recently purchased an 06 that has a smaller pulley and what I am told is a Race IQ tune, and have this fault code (among some others) and trying to figure out what's going on.
I currently have the car apart but haven't had the opportunity to finish it as im waiting on the parts to come back from powder coating. I did speak with some other E55 owners and they said its common for these sensors sometimes to go when adding more boost. To replace this sensor with out removing the whole super charge is a pain in the *** because of how tight it is.

Thanks for the update. I just recently acquired my first MB (A modified 06) and ran a diagnostics report and this code was one of them. Trying to learn this platform.
Yeah there quite a few and are also pretty active. Some of them are Mercedes w211/w212/w213, E55 / M113k Race performance & DIY E55 E63 AMG place. There are also a few places for parts sales like AMG Parts and cars for sale/WTB W204, W211, W212, W213

Subscribed. I know of at least one other car that was chasing this fault after an 83mm RaceIQ tune. So it will be interesting to see if it's the tune or somehow the sensor goes out. I feel like I may have had this before and replaced one or both of the map sensor or the pressure sensor (or they're the same thing, or something). I'm gonna check my records now.
maw
EDIT... so, my car is also 83mm RaceIQ tuned, and I had this code and replaced this sensor... I now have another CEL which reported a SAI pump, which I also replaced... only for the CEL to come back. I'll report back once I have it checked again... if either of those codes come back I'm going to suspect a tuning issue... I've been leaning towards returning the car to stock anyway, so nothing lost but time and money... mine is an S55, so more power is exactly NOT the point. I knew this for the first decade or so I owned the car but somehow lost the thread... only to inherit CEL.
My guess would be that people didn't know to, or know how to, or could not, adjust the parameters for these sensors, so the numbers the ECU is sending to the sensor is "Implausible" says the sensor. I could be wrong though because, like the OP, THE CEL DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR YEARS AFTER THE TUNE AND THE CAR RUNS PERFECTLY.
Yeah its very odd. Mine started a few days after tuning. Its very intermediate as well, doesn't happen under WOT but only happens under slight acceleration from 60-80mph. It also comes and goes with it coming on for 2 days and staying off for a week even with back to back long pulls, the sensor is 21 years old at this point and i did see on an older forum that they changed the part number from the original MAP Sensor so maybe with the age it just finally went out with the up in boost. Im just waiting for my powder coated stuff to come back but to changer the MAP sensor with the supercharger in the car is PIA , even with the swivel socket it hits the head when trying to get that right side bolt.
Update - replaced map sensor and put the car back together. After 4 days of driving the issue for the same code still comes up for pressure sensor implausible. Definitely has to be tuning related, emailed VRP to see what they say.
