My baby got T-Boned yesterday
I'll post pics soon. Some idiot T-Boned me, I guess he thought he could make a quick left and cut in front of me as I was crossing the intersection. To make matters worse, he actually tried to run away.
All my driver's side airbags deployed and the driver's and rear driver's doors are crushed in.
I am very lucky it happened in a car such as an E class because I believe if I was in a inferior car, bodily injury would have been more severe.
I am ok all in all, just took some Cat scans in my abdominal area to make sure there was no internal bleeding.
Tomorrow I will have my car sent to a body shop, not sure which one...if anyone has good suggestion for good body shop in the DC area, let me know.
I will be parting out my car, so I will be selling the Renntech pulley, front grille, trunk spoiler.
I decided to give the the upcoming CLS an Evo treatment since I hear they are setting up shop here in the DC area.
I will sell my car as soon as it is fixed...hopefully it won't lose more than $10K additional due to replaced doors, etc.

Man oh man does that blow. My E55 was rear ended by an idiot 16 year old less than 2 weeks ago, mine's a Brilliant Silver '05 like yours. Really sorry to hear about your car. Get a mean lawyer who will go after the diminished value of the car on top of the repair. Thats what mine is doing. I ordered a CLS55 AMG because of my accident, I will not keep a car thats been hit no matter what it is. Best of luck to you.

What is this, open season on Brilliant Silver E55's? VelocitE55's advice is sound - get legal assistance and go after diminished value, plus cost of repairs.
Also, even though you may have escaped serious trauma, long-term pain associated with accidents is very common and you should aggressively pursue a settlement that takes that into account. My wife's car was rear-ended 5 years ago and though she was able to walk away, she still has chronic back and neck pain. Best of luck in getting a fair settlement!

BTW, how did the HRE's come through and are you selling them?

Glad to hear that you're okay. Sorry to hear that this happened.
A note on the Ibuprofen - if you have any problems with ulcers or acid reflux - might I suggest Tylenol.

Sorry to hear about this, but glad you're ok. In case you have questions on how to best protect yourself, legally, there was a good thread on this about 10 days ago titled something like "my baby got hit by a 16 year old punk"

Sorry to hear about this. I had a new Silver C43 AMG that was sandwiched in a multiple pileup. The tail end driver that caused this was cited. 4 of the 6 cars had to be towed. Did over $20K damage to the C43. Ohio has no diminished value law. They fixed it & I sold it for a $22K loss just to get rid of it. I don't buy wrecked cars & didn't want to drive one either.

My fear on occasion when I'm driving my E55. If it got wrecked I just couldn't keep it even when fixed. You should count your blessings that you were not seriously injured, though. The E55 can always be replaced. Best of luck.

Sorry about your car but fortunately you had a good car to protect you. I agree with the previous posts, go after the diminished value especially in a car like the e55 and forget the ibuprofen and tylenol-at least get some vicoden or something from your doc.

If you need Vicodin - you need to see the doctor and quick. I rarely prescribe Vicodin after an accident - if its necessary - its usually due to a fracture or something more serious - for example, a tendon/ligament tear. Any pain above that threshold and you should see a physician. I hope you didn't sustain such serious injury. Ibuprofen or Tylenol in routine doses works well - take it at regular intervals (every 6 or 8 hours as directed by the bottle) and you'll have a good level of analgesia (pain control).
Again, I hope you feel close to normal shortly and that you can resolve this issue quickly with your car.

Thanks everyone! For the most part, I"m fine...I'm just pissed about my car.
I'm going to sell my car as soon as it comes out of the shop. I h
have someone interested in the car already and he was hinting he wanted the Renntech stuff to stay.
I have a CLS55 on order so we'll see. In the meantime I'll be driving my wife's LX470 and she'll get an Escalade on Tuesday.
