I took the 55 to get an oil change at the dealership...$89. While I was there, I saw a blue CLS on a trailer...I asked what the waiting list for the CLS55 was like and he said that I shoud wait for the new motor to come out...

He stated that he was told by MB that it would be normally aspirated with over 500 hp and around 560 ft/lb of torque (I hope he's not full of BS...he hasn't been so far). He intimated that the low end grunt was going to be "tremendous"...

I think I'll wait...

PS...3000 miles later and I'm loving every minute in this car !

how did the CLS look?

The side profile is the best feature of the car...didn't get a look inside, since it was on a flat bed.

The consensus from the sales staff I talked to said the AMG version will more to most people's liking...to me, the CLS looks anemic in non-AMG form.

I still like the E bodystyle over the CLS, overall.
