I wonder if the feature was retained for Canadian cars? You guys can certainly use it, given your winters!

My early '05 (July 25, 2004 build) has the REST feature (along with the old "clamshell" console), but other U.S. E-Class owners with cars built after mine report the REST feature is gone. Given the dollar's increasingly lousy exchange rate against the EURO, wonder if M-B is de-contenting to protect a price point. If that's the case, I say keep the features, raise the base price.

Based on the looks of it it is suprisingly comfortable; in fact, I think you would find that comfort is a non-issue with the new 05 center console.

I like that feature... really helps here in Canada, not used to it yet.... But I love the car drove almost whole day, still cannot belive how it accelerates, It's just so easy to go over 100km/h!!! This car is simply the best... drove it in the wet too, no traction problems or somthing like that.

P.s Consumption is not bad at all, first i was getting 20 - 21 liters/100 i was worried there... But after i reset it once again it showed normal 15,16 liters in city, 13,14 on the highway, But i wasnt pushing the car alot...

I never noticed it until someone mentioned it. REST is the last thing I'm thinking about when I'm behind the wheel of this car! :v
