Transmission service
The E55 is going in for a transmission service. What fluid are recommended, anything new and improved and if memory serves me there is a filter change.

The service should include the replacement of the bushing (elelctrical connector) to mitigate the wicking of transmission fluid into the wiring harness.

Assuming you're taking to a dealer for service? If so, they have a kit that has everything needs for replacement. I don't go to the dealer anymore, for years, and use an Indy, but when I did go - they always used a kit that had the filter, oil etc.
Also, and this is just me, I personally only use MB for fluids like this - just a mental thing and I trust what AMG says to use. Having said that, tons of people use aftermarket/other products with great success.
Car will feel a lot better after this service, it was night and day for me when I crossed 55K miles and got the service done.

Are you going for standard service (fluid + filter) or do you want an overhaul? Things to consider:
- O-rings for all solenoids
- New TCC lockup solenoid
- Sonnax overlap valve kit
- Sonnax TCC damper
- Solenoid filters (2x)
- Solenoid strainers (2x)
