I just wanted to make a quick introduction to my new to me 04 E55. I bought it back in May and have been basically using it strictly for going to the drag strip and some back and forth rides. It currently has 184k and it still pulls strong as ever. This model is an obsidian black over the Merlot interior which is really nice in my opinion. I wish I could get more history on the car, whoever the original owner was definitely took care of it or so it seems at least.the interior is near flawless , and no major dings or scratches etc. I did blow the oil cooler /lines on my last 1/4 mile run but otherwise. Everything still works and drives fine.

You're going to want to pay attention to JoeJErnst and his site StumptownBenz.com. Good stuff if you plan on taking the car to the drag strip regularly.
SICAMG and UncleBenz55 are also excellent sources of information. Use "Advanced Search" upper right in the W211 AMG sub-forum and you'll find great info.
