I installed mine. Took about 10 minutes. I had to buy a hex socket with a 10mm driver on the end to get the steering wheel bolt loose and out, but other than that all you will need is two different (T25 and T27) size Torx size screw drivers or Torx L wrenchs and a breaker bar for the socket..

My MP Designs Wheel is on the way. It will match my Burl Walnut which I got special ordered with my car. I haven't seen a picture on the site yet but when I get it installed I'll post a pic. Unfortunately it's a gift so it'll be after Xmas.

My dad's wheel arrived from autowerks this morning... in Sydney, Australia!!
Man, we must be the only ones in this country to have this wheel. It's fantastic, great workmanship. Makes the E500's wooden wheel feel paper thin!
Funny story: We ordered it over the internet. Autowerks doesn't have an international posting fee, so we selected the $50 option. They emailed us explaining there was a different fee, but they didn't know exactly.
The bill arrived, and on top of the $US1200, we paid about $US386 shipping!
IT WAS WORTH IT
maybe the story isn't that funny, but the point is, the wheel is great. Now all we gotta do is wait for an E55 haha. January production, arrival in early march (hopefully). The E350 is coming in april 2005? i think... And that comes with a CLS wheel, pedals and other bits and pieces. As well as the 10% more direct steering.
If we are told these things wont be on the January car, then the order will be extended to april production

Does your $386 include the local Aussie customs fees?

Hey Beowolf....
I assume you got your wheel from ACC, do you mind if I ask what those guys get for it? I'm just a bit south of you and would save the aggravation of oredering one if they had it on hand...thanks for the info.
