Check Engine light

Check Engine light
We have a check engine light on. 05 e55, with 600 miles. Light did not go away after new tank of gas, with cap securely attached. Going to dealership on monday. Is it likely to be bad? The car feels fine. I had no choice but to drive 100 miles with the CE light on, is this bad?
