Need help with harness install. Picked up a brand new harness, part number 211 440 55 08, relay was completely melted, wire looks corroded, got new pumps as well. First thing I want to attack is the harness, dont know if installing the new harness is possible, if it is, some guidance would be really appreciated. The DIY portion sounds difficult but possible. If harness isn't possible as a DIY what should I do?

If the harness is only damaged close to the relay socket, replace the relay and socket with a larger 70-amp capacity relay with its larger socket. Cut loose one wire at a time, install new/larger contacts, insert into appropriate slot in socket, insert larger relay, and you should be good to go. Keep the new harness on the shelf.
