im looking to order some paint for a few touchups on my w211 e55 i bought 2 months ago. Might also get the facelift front bumper for a little extra aggression. Problem is, im colorblind as hell and can’t tell what shade of white my car is. I’d also love to know what the car was specced with from factory. The local dealer told me they have no record of it because its a Japanese import.

I had no issue looking up the VIN. Your exterior color is reported to be: ALABASTER WHITE - NON METALLIC (960U). The code 960U is MB code for the color as they often have several names for the same color. Hope that helps and welcome to the forum.

I wrote off the websites initially because the production date (2004) on the vin decoders doesn’t match up with the manufacturer date on the cars registration (2006).
not sure if the car was bought from new in 2006 and MB had it laying around for two years or if it’s something else.
The attached is your data card in MB's ISPPI system, which is the parts system that all MB dealerships globally use.
Official MB records on the data card would confirm that your car indeed left the factory in 2004, specifically on July 29th of that year.
I have also attached a PDF version of your data card, which was generated directly by Mercedes-Benz's ISPPI system.
Absolute legend! Thanks man. Im not sure what the discrepancy is between the MB records and the faulty production date on the cars registration. The options specced are an exact 1:1 of what is on my car so the vin checks out. The error must have happened at some point during the import process. How peculiar.
