Didnt know there was a fellow Hoosier on the forum. Moved away from Fishers (Northeast Indy for you non Hoosiers) over a year ago.
"Back home agaiiinnnnnnn...in Indiaaannnnaaaaaa"..... inside Jim Neighbors joke.
Sure miss the 500.
If you guys have never been to the Indy 500...
It has changed a lot over the past decade, but it is still the greatest spectacle in racing.
One of my best memories was the first time I walked up to the fence near the finish line. Arie Lyundyk comes down the straightaway heading towards me on a qualifying lap. My buddy turns to me and says " you ready to watch a guy take an on ramp at 230"...the whine gets louder and louder, then WHOOMMMM, this car goes into a turn in front of me at 230+....thats FLAT OUT with almost NO banking for you Nascar fans. It lasts a fraction of a second and he is gone....then your brain literally sends you signals "what you have just seen is impossible" When you pop onto the freeway today and you are taking that steep turn to enter...imagine doing it at 4 miles a minute pulling 3g's. What a rush.....

The '05's have been fitted with four new additions this year:
1. 200mph speedo
2. Redline on tach.
3. Sliding door on console
4. MP3 capable ECU
I don't really mind it though because if I got that console on my car I'd trade it in for an '04.

Stock Mufflers. Stock tips. The guys at Kleemann offered that new mufflers and tips offer about only about a 5 hp gain over the stock mufflers. Also, it's pretty salty ($) for that gain. On the other hand, the stock exhaust manifolds (which look like extremely restrictive) can be replaced with ceramic coated headers will add 50 hp gains and really allow for a free revving motor. Currently sounds GREAT.

I have kleemann headers, removed one set of cats and have a cut out value that bypasses the mufflers by the touch of a switch. I have no backpressure in my system.
