I was surfing SL55 board and there's some dude who flashed his ECU for 350 bucks and got + 30hp and +30 trq + no limiter.... What do you think guys is it worth it?

ECU is a no brainer. If he is selling his I would be leary. One of the benefits is the VMAX speed limiter may/may not be removed to allow you to rock about 155 +/-. You might want to ask him who had it done and research the company/people who did the work.

I had my ECU flashed by speedtuningUSA on my 03 W211. Ask for Oliver. I felt an increase in power using the butt dyno. I am having my S80 TT Volvo flashed there next week.

Since I live in MD, I went and met Oliver a few months ago. Yes, it is hard to imagine that for under $350 you can get your ECU done with the same benefits from any other tuner (ECU only). If you are looking for a ECU only upgrade (better throttle response, remove limiter, and a bump in HP and torque) it is a "no-brainer". He works out of a small sales trailer in back of a auto shop in MD. No overhead no rent means big savings to customers. He just has his computers and ECU's. I thought he was very cool guy and he has done many ECU's for the Audi and Volvo guys. He has done several SL55's and E55's with all of those owners being very happy for what it is, ECU only upgrade.

Sending mine off to him Monday. I kept pushing him to find someone to get him pulleys...his deal fell through from a company in Australia but he is trying. I told him, he'll have about 1000 instant orders if he can come up with a GOOD ECU and pulley setup for under a grand or close at least. Still hard to swallow the 4-5K for literally 200$ in metal pulleys and a plug and software flash....I know some would argue you are paying for the research and development....but yikes, that sure is steep.
Gonna wait til new 55 comes out....if they let us down this fall, I'll just pump cash into this model. Hoping they don't....they just can't, with 500HP coming from everyone but Hyundai, they will be laughed at if they don't let the power fly on the 06 55.
