so for 2005 we can get the E55 to give us the AMG logo.
can any of the techs with the Star system set our cars to the European version so we can have the British voice? What are the downsides of Euro edition aside from the satellite not working?

yay!! i finally got it!!!
because im not in USA.. my setting would be AMG211_ECE
now i have the ///AMG logo on startup instead of boring 3point star.
now i got to find out which setting lets me play dvd's whilst in motion.

Let me know if anyone can figure out a way to make this change stick. I tried a few things and the voice stuck, even after I started the car again, but then it reverted back.

OK, so I am now totally confused. After several attempts with the CD in and the system in Nav mode I accessed the 3-5-7 screen and set it to AMGW211_USA. Turned off the system, wait 5 minutes and the MB logo appears. Try again and same results. Oh well.
Stop at the corner store, come back out and now it says AMG! Great except I would like to play with the other settings and I cannot reliably get the system into 3-5-7 mode. Sometimes it comes up and other times not - I can't figure out what I'm doing differently. Any suggestions?

Make sure you press and hold 5 first, then proceed to pressing and holding 3 and 7.
