Break In Period

The Owner's Manual says to always keep the car in "C" mode during the first 1,000 miles. My salesperson recommended babying the car in "S" mode. Usually there is a reason for the Maufacturer's directions. It certainly is harder to vary revs in C vs. S. Any thoughts?

I had no issues varing revs in C. I also didn't down shift or allow it to go above 4K RPMS

Never heard that one before - when I picked up my new C32, it was in S mode. I left it there. Leaving it in C mode would mean for the first 1,000 miles the car would never use 1st gear, right? Unless you floored it off the line and it downshifted?

My 04 had the sticker that informed me to keep my RPM's down for the first 1000 miles but said nothing about C or S mode. I drove my car in S mode the whole break in period.

No Problems
