Brake "scrape" at low speeds

Brake "scrape" at low speeds
After 8 months with the car, a couple of things I'd like to hear others experiences regarding:
1. Brake "Feel" - during low speed braking I can sometimes literally "feel" the pads rubbing against the rotors through the brake pedal. Ive had the recall work done recently so am sure they are ok, but is this normal?
2. Engine Temp - my car hovers right at 100 C. Is this what other Es are running at?
Any perspectives appreciated.

I sort of have the same problem with brake "scrape" but not when they're being applied. When I'm driving the car very slowly, I can feel (and hear) my rotors slightly squeaking and scraping against my calipers. Somewhere the alignment is off and I'm taking it in as soon as it gets back from the shop.

My brakes scrape during low speed stop and go traffic, but I read in the manual that that is intentional to assist in quick stops.
My temp also was at around 100 or a little less. After the water wetter yesterday it looks to be 90, quite a drop.
