Long Cranking when Engine is cold...(211)
Has anyone experienced long cranks after the car has been sitting overnight or for a couple of days. I have Keyless go, and it will sometimes not start in the first cycle. Other times, it barely catches and then stalls. The next crank always starts right up. I have mentioned it to the dealer when it first did it, a;nd he said it was poor quality fuel, and recommended I fill it w/ Chevron fuel (B.S.). Anyway I did that and it still intermittently does it. The car only has 6K on it. I'm wondering if the fuel filter is clogged, or maybe a bad pump... Any thoughts... It's really cool when you want to impress somebody and the damn thing doesn't even start...
Sincerely,

Have them check the fuel pressure. This sounds like a bad fuel pump or one of the fuel pressure regulators. However, since it is intermittent I am leaning toward the pump (faulty check valve).

I have never had a problem. We had some severe days here in Toronto where the temperature was at -25 and -30 degress celcius (with windchill). I was very impressed the car turned over immediately.
The temperature had no effect at all on the car.
