2006 CLS 55
tjc, thanks for the "heads up". I am now enrolled in the Las Vegas challenge. I am hopeful that there will be a CLS 55 or two around, as mine should be coming sometime in May. (For now, I have to make do with my 2004 E 55.)

FWIW, I went to the AMG Challenge at Pocono last year.

Jeff- Thanks for the heads up!!
Like I said earlier I was at Homestead last year and the track was great. Could easily hit 140-145 on the straights. They had a series of cones getting progressively closer to the wall on the turns to keep you from running into it! Pocono had you limited to 110-115 on the straights. I hope Lime Rock is not like that. If it is, I would consider taking the trip to Miami. Doing 145 on the straight and seeing that bank come at you is an awesome experience at homestead.

Question AMG Lime Rock event - lodging?

Now that I'm signed up and confirmed for Lime Rock on 8/15 (thanks for the link), where are some places to stay? Only thing I found so far is a lot of B&Bs.

Thinking of staying in Great Barrington, MA (20mi north of the track per the map). Found a Days Inn and looks like ample restaurants in the area.

Anyone have previous experience with lodging/food near Lime Rock? I live in NH so I'm coming in Sunday and probably leaving Tuesday morning.

Thanks!

I am staying at the Interlaken Inn. Click onto the Links page on the track's website and you will find it. I have stayed there before. They have a $129 per night special for track events. They are two minutes from the track.

Thank you TJC. I just signed up for Road America in July. I don't even have my E55 yet and would never have been able to register without your help.

Yep, with son (Road Atlanta vet, Evolution Autocross School grad). July 30th timing is best for us, always wanted to do Elkhart Lake. Should be a blast!

Nice Noredline. I did their executive protection/hostage course down in AZ. I somehow don't think they'll let me drive through blockades in these cars though.

Practical knowledge on how to drive our cars will be great.

Confirmed at Limerock on 8/17. See you guys there. At least I wasn't wait listed this year. Can't wait for the experience as the challenge was a great time.

Once again, thanks TJC. I just got my invite today (right after I signed up with owners online on mbusa). But I see Road America is full. Never would have got a spot without ya
