I too just got some SL65 wheels from a friend. They will be getting some PS2's put on them as soon as it March/April rolls around. Cant wait for that gun-metal look on a Alabaster White E55. Im getting excited thinking about it now lol.

Enjoy

Do you have a part number for your wheels? I just got off the phone with an MB salesman and he told me that "the E55 is a high-performance car and I would not recommend putting ANY wheel on that car larger than 18."
My response:
(pause for effect)
Yeah, whatever.
So, back to the AMG 19" wheels. Did you get them from the dealer? What did they charge you for the package?

The rims that I have pictured earlier on this post are designed for the W211 E55 and are OEM AMG rims which are available in Germany when ordering the car. If you look at the AMG Europe website you will see these rims as a wheel choice for the E55. I purchased them from TireRack with tires about 10 months ago. Shipped straight to the dealer. Service was
Bad news is that the price has increased since I purchased because of the value of the EURO. At the time each rim was about $900, now I think they are close to $1,300 if TireRack even still carries them.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks for the information, 04E55 AMG. It is a huge help.
TireRack does have them and they are $1250 (front 19"/8.5") and $1300 (rear 19"/9.5"). Looks like they are in stock and can be delivered to my dealer in two days from their warehouse.
I'll make the call tomorrow. What tires did you choose and why?

Went with S03's at the time since PS2's were not out yet. Have been very happy with my S03's (Great Tire). Since I live in a climate where it snows, I am using my stock rims for winter tires. I am not sure if you would get longer wear with PS2's. I have heard that the bad thing about S03's is that they wear fast, but since I have my winter tires for 4 months out of the year I should be fine for the near future.

wow
wow...$1200 and $1300 a wheel for a non forged wheel? those prices are outrageous and straight up rape dude...sorry, but if you're gonna spend that kinda of dough...make it a fully forged wheel..lighter stronger and more aesthetically pleasing (opinion)..my two cents.

That is almost at HRE dollars there...I'd move up to them if I was willing to spend that much on rims. Anyone know of decent forged rims around the $800 to $900 range...
