Sometimes when I gun the car there is a rotten egg smell which is very unpleasant. Anyone knows what the problem could be? Thanks in advance!

My best guess would be that it's because of the heat in the exhaust?

Thanks everyone. Do we have to worry about it though? I found online some mechanic's point of view of this problem:

"The smell of rotten eggs - a continuous burning-sulphur smell - usually
indicates a problem in the catalytic converter or other emission control
devices. Don't delay diagnosis and repair."

good news is your cats are good for 80k warranty issue. this usually happens in winter months when fuels have additives added to them for emissions purposes. try some different fuels at different stations and see if it goes away. if not, just wait till spring
