Did anyone switch from W211 E63 to W212 E63? If so do you like it better?
Another possibility: maybe you just can't tell. Think about it: Not the car. Just, you and your minimal driving skills.
By the way, the cars are far from the same: the front track is 2.2 inches wider and has steel suspension instead of airmatic. Oh wait, that's probably all the same as well. Not only that, you also saved 40K. Don't forget that.
It depends where you place your priorities...styling/panache, power, handling, comfort.
If you want all aspects satisfied, you're heading well into the six figure range.
Certain aspects are not up for debate...power and handling. There is no question that the w212 is a better performer when compared to it's previous iteration.
If you don't like the car for it's styling, that's fine...

Hey, just keep rationalizing. From the sounds of it that is all you do in your life lol
I buy them to go like stink??? Why else would you buy one? If you have ever owned a 6 speed manual transmission you would understand. Paddles and buttons just don't give me the excitement of shifting the car yourself. I'm sure they give other people that can't drive a manual the sense that they are really driving the car and that is great. They are just not for me. Keep in mind I'm not directing this personally at you. I know how sensitive a lot of people are in this thread. Not trying to hurt any feelings.

I don't see it but granted I did not have the car the entire day to go beat on it. I had it for a short 10 mile drive. It's the dealers car. Did get some good corners in there and a big romp onto a highway. Don't get me wrong. It is a great car. It's just ugly IMHO which doesn't matter lol To solve this issue why don't one of you guys call Top Gear and get both cars in the hands of the Stig. I have a feeling you guys would not be happy with the outcome for some reason.

E55 VS E63 (W212)
E63 (W211) VS E63 (W212)
But it would definitely be fun to watch them running on the same day by same driver.

Liquiddi, I gotta say you are just not coming off as very intelligent here. This is your latest non sequitur.

Instead of supporting your position with evidence, you attack the messenger. Please…without referring to the test drive sensations from your poorly calibrated butt-dyno, point us in the direction of an article or race track result that supports your claim that the new car handles the same as the old car.
And stop accusing us of being overly sensitive, or calling my car a Hyundai, or I am going to cry. It really hurts my feelings when you do that.

Looks good on paper. Nice site thanks! I've been playing with all kinds of stuff on there. Pretty fun.
I LOVE the GT visually, and with the plummeting Maserati resale, I started kicking myself for not taking the value-per-dollar into consideration (for a slightly Used model, that is). I see you have the "S", but I'm sure the regular ole' GT would be enough for me.
I've heard mixed reviews from people who have driven them, and I know the QP's were quality disasters (for a period, at least), but I'm wondering if the GT's picked things up.

It spent a total of two months in the shop to have it fixed. Could be annoying if it's your only car. Speaking of GT versus GTS: GTS feels like a very different car. Much more athletic. Plus the sound is way better. Stil, the base car is nothing to sneeze at.
