Looking to do some light modding, any suggestions?

Hello guys,

I am looking to do some light modding on my w212 E63 AMG.

Mainly, I am looking for a really good air filter, exhaust headers (not the full system, although a catalytic convertor replacement or removal would also be nice), and maybe a carbon fibre intake manifold. I certainly do NOT want to do any ECU tuning or touch the engine itself in any way, due to the fact that I live in Dubai and im pretty sure that there isnt anyone here qualified enough to do anything complex, or is willing to give you any sort of warranty for it.

I was looking at K&N air filters and they seem okay, but I am sure there are better ones around, I just couldnt find any? I tried ITG but they dont have one for the w212. I have also looked at the BMC air filters, but it sais its for the 514 hp E63 (so w211) and I wasnt sure if it would fit onto my w212.

Also, I saw a video of a renntech exhaust system, however I couldnt find it on their website. Kleemann seem to have W211 exhaust headers which they THINK might fit on my car but cant guarantee it, as they havent had any orders on w212's yet.

Does anyone have any recommendations, or any ideas on what brands make the best quality products of this type?

Thanks for the help.

I think that means they charge you extra upfront and then you send yur original one back to them and they refund you when they get your original one back. Or you can keep both but then it is more expensive. They want your original back in short.

Do you know if an intake manifold change would void the 2 year warranty?

None fast enough!
Feel free to contact us direct, but the intake will not void the warranty at all.

Thanks
Brad

Hiya Brad,

Ive got a little issue here that maybe you can help me with. Looking at the images of the Carbon Fibre Intake manifold you guys are making, I can see that the first part where the air starts funneling into the engine is actually not replaced by a carbon fibre peice, and is completely untouched it seems? Here is a pic of what im talking about, one pic is the one from your website, and the second is the same part but on my engine.

I am wondering if I can get this part as well, in carbon fibre?

If it ever does become available then I would very much appreciate it if you could let me know Brad, as I am still interested in this product. I just want the complete thing.

Thanks and best regards,
Ahmad
