anyone use a no rinse car wash

Anyone use a no rinse car wash? I found this product on the Lexus forum, thinking of trying in on my new 2010 RX 350. Don't think I'll try it on the Benz though...http://www.optimumcarcare.com/onrwns.htm?li=2

i bought some but haven't used it yet. Look on the autogeek.com website. The guy there has a tutorial on using this stuff. I think he uses it on a black car too. i would use it if the car isn't that dirty and is any color besides black

It's great. You will love it!

I use this stuff all of the time, and my car is black. I had a professional paint restoration, and have ZERO swirls after using this product, and I am very, very **** about it. It is really how you use it that matters. I have some Optimum No Rinse ("ONR") in a pesitcide sprayer. I spray the whole car with that and let it dwell to loosen up the dirt, especially the lower. If it is really dirty, I will hit it with a hose first (or a touch-free wash if it is really cold out), then I wash it with ONR in my garage. The trick is to do one panel at a time, making sure to use always get new ONR on your mitt and "keep it very wet". You dry one panel at a time also. I wash the panel, do a quick dry, then spray quick detailer on it (almost as a lubricant), and finish drying. I also use the 2 bucket method with grit guards in the bottom. The first bucket has the clean ONR in it, I wash a panel (top first, then down to the bottom), then I rinse it in the second bucket and clean the mitt against the grit guard. Then I dip it in the first and clean against the grit guard again, and wash another panel.

I would suggest that you read the website http://www.detailedimage.com, and look for the "Ask A Pro Blog". There are many detail tricks on there from Todd Cooperrider, and DJ Mayo, some of the best detailers in the country. DJ is the detailer who did the paint correction on my car, and then he does a sealant and quick detail every spring and right before the winter. In addition, you can read http://www.autopia.org for more detailing tricks. I always read the "Pros - Before and After" section to see new tips and tricks. I don't want to know how to buff etc, but I want to maintain my car in the best way possible, and this is how I learned.

I buy all of my detail stuff from detailed image (I have no affiliation with them at all), and follow the products on Autopia and Detailed Image.

Here is a link to the paint correction that was done on my car (look for pictures from DJ Mayo with the username Got_Leather). My car was destroyed from years of poor treatment, tunnel washes, bad products etc. (I bought it used). Link to Paint Correction.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Nathan
