Congrats on the new E63, the W212 has took a big leap forward in handling. My car has the p30 option and does okay for a 4,000 pounder but the new ones are much improved. For brakes, my 911 has squeaked from day one and is still going strong.
Breaking in the the brakes is important but be careful not to cook your brake fluid. If you're seeing smoke from the brake or heavy fade as you mentioned, it is advisable to change the brake fluid out. I would always swap it anytime you cause the pedal to go "long," but I love to tinker and maybe that's just me.

Stay away from Brembo if you want quite brakes, I had them on my Jeep SRT-8, great for stopping but really squeaky when slowing down. Way more brake dust than the AMG brakes too.

Charcoal Filters
I saw in this post mention of removing, replacing the charcoal filters. Can you explain, where are they located and what is the benefit? Thank you

Any Updates on the Squeaky Brakes?
Just wondering if those on here had any further success after the squeaking returned?
I'm having the same issue - and I can't believe a car this expensive has such a problem. I will consider the 'bed' solution but my first inclination is to have the dealer fix it right - if there is such a thing. They are looking into it for me.

dealer fixed it no problems. It did come back a little after a few months, but i brought it in with my next maintanence and this time it fixed it permanently. not sure how they did it differently, but it's fixed now.

Did the dealer not give you a standard bill /receipt saying what they did?

The brakes on my new to me E63 with 4600 miles squeals something fierce when coming to a stop. Those that had the pads replaced, was it done for free or did you have to pay for it? I was thinking about getting the Porterfield low dust pads from Jerry at ForMyMercedes. Will this void the warranty? Can I just get any brake specialist to install, or does it have to be done by a Mercedes mechanic? Thanks in advance.
