Kompressor Kit for w212 E63 AMG
Hello guys,
Ive just come across this website.
http://www.xtra-power.com/index.php?...roduct_e63.php
Its a tuner that fits kompressors on the E63 AMG, boasting power goes up to 660 hp and 595 lbs/ft of TQ.
Anyone know anything about them or have any info/feedback regarding such a conversion?

I emailed them and got some more info. Here it is:
1. MCT gearbox on the w212 is able to handle the extra torque.
2. ECU will not be remapped, as the kit comes with their own "ECU box". (Which I assume is a piggyback ECU?)
3. Kit does not include an exhaust or manifold.
4. Kit includes the following:
•Eaton Supercharger
•Complete Xtra Intercooler system
•Servo brake fluid container
•Complete belt system
•Xtra Fuel rails
•Complete intake manifolds
•Xtra ECU
However, I know that the 6.3l AMG engines are already very high compression and I thought bigger cylinder heads would be needed for any forced induction. However, I think all these guys do is use 'colder spark plugs', does that seem safe enough for the engine?

Xtra Power and Weistec both have supercharger kits available for all 63 AMG models. They are more known in the C63 section of the forum due to all the threads started about them in the past 3 months or so
. There are a couple of members who will be installing the Weistec system soon and will review it completely, which may help you make a decision

That would actually be excellent, to get some feedback off them. I think I should start looking at the C63 forums a bit more

Evosport is installing Weistec's on JrCart's and eCambell's Black Series. I believe they are picking their cars up on March 26th and will heading down to the Benz meet at the Hooters in LakeForest, CA.

Man, hats off to any of you who would consider strapping an S/C to a 6.2L. That motor seems so high rung in N/A form (High Compression, masterfully engineered to be close to all it can be in N/A form), and assuming internals are not forged, etc., it seems like something you'd wanna be careful about.

The good thing about a supercharger, compared to a turbocharger, is that the 6.2 will keep its legendary exhaust note and most likely improve on it with the extra air being force-fed into the cylinders

Then you can turn up the boost a little. How intresting... that's a little out of my price point. I would trade in my car for a brand new one and probably pay about that much in difference.

Still not cheapm, but relatively speaking, it's an improvement.
