Squeaky Brakes Issues?
Sorry, replied to a previous thread but the subject header is new E63 pictures from princealidds so not sure people will respond.
Several ppl have complained about this issue - had the dealer replace the pads only to have the issue return.
There are suggestions of 'bed' 'ing the brakes but I dont know if that's the right solution for such a car or a workaround that smart drivers have figured out. Anyways, I'm hesistant but if there are no other solutions people have found through dealers, I will not have a choice...
Thanks

Bedding won't work in long term, it helps just for few days, believe me I tried it a bunch of times......... bottom line, I took it to MB so many times, and finally I had a AMG certified tech take the car for a drive and he was smart enough to replace all pads and now its better!
So my advise, is to keep taking it back to dealership, do you have a AMG certified tech?

I believe so but i seem to recall that simply changing the brake pads didnt resolve the problem - was only a temp fix. When you read back the previous thread i sited, those were the comments.

Enough to be embarassed when driving a C$120k car...looks like they are going to change the read pads - are your in the rear? Were others in the rear?

I had the same problem. I had the fronts replaced after the first month of ownership. They started to squeal again and waited a year to get them replaced. They now work fine. Don't put it off, get the brakes serviced

It also has alot to do with how one drives/brakes their car... if you slow brake your car (basically coast it) you will create a glaze or coat which can yield squeaks.

Currencies are almost at parity - that $120K CAD is over $116K USD. Their cars are just more expensive. US bound MB (and others) cars are the cheapest in the world. Thank you for that, USA.

So, no I did not pay CAD$120 but that was the MRSP with all the options. I paid significantly less (~$30+) but its still classified as a $120 car in my opinion - in Canada anyways.

That does sound right and it hasnt been driven too much and has really been babied. I am having the rear pads replaced in a day and will see how it goes. Ordered some winter tires and 'knock off' M3-GTS style powder coated rims so will be driving it a bit more thru the winter.
I bedded mine and have never had a problem--- I bedded my W210 E55, W211 E55, W215 CL65, W212 E63, and W218 CLS63TT and no squeaks.

Rear pads done - no difference and in fact worse if that even possible. Fronts are next.

I'm grateful there is no squeaky sound with mine. However, maybe I'm always too thrilled with the sound of the motor to really pay attention to any braking sound.
