Performance package suspension - Monroe's , WTF

yeah so i was peaking under the front wheel well between the wheels and saw that the shock tower said Monroe on it, Comeon, they coulndt use atleast some bilsteins?

I guess if i need replacements, i can always just goto sears

LOL... I thought the same thing back in Aug of 2010 when I was lowering my 2010 E63. I figured Monroe gave them an offer they couldnt refuse in regards to mass production. And my E63 2010 was not a PP car. So Monroe is doing the normal AMG shocks and must be revalving the PP shocks.

IDK really.... we dont know what AMG and MBZ did with Monroe in regards to rates and expectations. All I know is my PP suspension is very good.

mine say made in spain, so atleast its still in europe. ..... i wonder what the Black series cars and the SLS, SLR etc have on them......sigh

So anyone without pp suspension ever check to see who makes your shocks

I think they are monroes too---- on my wagon (which doesnt get the stiffer shocks) they are monroes made in espana!!!!!!!!

I haven't had the chance to be under the car but I'm now afraid to look. If it is Monroe for the P30, I'm sure for the non-P30, it ain't gonna be things like Bilstein, KYB, Koni, or Tokico. It might even be stamped "Midas-made in PRC."
