Waiting for my e63...
Hey All-
Just wanted to give a new member introduction and see if there were any ways to help pass the time since my 2012 E63 is just hitting production this week.
I am coming from a 2008 M5 (the lease was up 1/2012) and I had originally intended to get a 2012 M5, but the production delay made it so that would be difficult.
Instead, I ordered a diamond white, 5 spoke wheels, black premium leather, carbon fiber trim, pp, lmtd slip, pan roof & parktronic. I was happy with the deal. I got 5% off & any conquest that may be available at time of delivery.
Does anyone know of any way to track the progress of a build? BMW had a site that would let you know what stage it was in & when it was done.
This wait might kill me since we turned in the M5 & the dealer set us up with a 2010 e350. Definitely a difference.

They are currently scheduled for a July build, which would put them in dealers around September... of course, that assumes no further production delays.

ah ha!! the wait........gotta love the wait!
my first car(e550, ordered) I still had a volvo-01 s40.......going from that car
to a Benz straight out of the box WAS a hard wait...
my second car; my current amg e63, also ordered, was tough too, because although
I was already riding in the lap, I was indeed anxious to get behind the wheel
of something with 518 hp!![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
but NOW that I'm again waiting for an even sweeter car, the cls63 with P30 and CF,
that I ordered several months ago is finally on a boat.....
I'm freaked because it comes with stock 550hp and 591tq......
so yeah.......I feel the wait, I know the wait, the wait sux! but it's great!
and at least I can still romp around in my e63

I followed mine as it hit the east coast, as it passed though the Panama Canal and saw it on a webcam in San diego Harbor

Coming from 2 E60 M5's and a W211 and a current w212 63 amg, you won't be disappinted in power, The benzs have alot more torque but don't touch the M's in handling or up top. But for daily driving they are great comfortable and fast cars. I am also waiting for the almighty F10 M5
I always have called my AMG's the lazy man's around the town speeder. Just mash and go and you will beat almost all that is out there. I have had 4 M's and they were just much more involving and the S85 engine required an 8/10ths driver or better to get the most out it. Thank god I like to drive and rev.

I'd guess in the beginning of June......
my last couple of cars arrived in port here in the states,
and then usually takes a week or so to get it to my state of NC....
I have one in transit on a boat named The Brand Cosmo......but I haven't bothered
to try and track it......
good luck!

That is possible. I ordered mine 10/24. Due to the specific options I wanted/didn't want, it wasn't built until late January. It arrived at the dealer in Carlsbad, California on Friday 2/24 and I picked it up on 2/25.
