The tires sizes are 255/30/20 and 285/30/20. The 30 profile on the hankooks is very similar to 25 series on other tires. I wanted to best ride quality as I often take customers in my car. Not sure why this is the case

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Love the gunmetal on a black car.

So you're happy with the ride and perfromance of the HK's, yes? I'm getting 20" HK shoes soon too, but the profile is 30 front, 25 rear and I'm a little concerned about the confort and rim protection on rear at 25.

Thanks for the kind words

I was going to go with 30/25 also but I was told any issues with uneven ride height could be corrected with the adjustable KW suspension kit.

The Hankooks are fine for my style of driving. Mostly daily commute with a few spirited runs a month. I really like these better than the Continentals that came on the car. The have the same ride quality but they grip much better in the dry and wet. The sidewalls seem fine to me

285x30x20 is too tall IMHO- its 26.8 inches and the stock rears at 285x30x19 is around 25.8 inches. Yes you can adjust the ride height with KW's but you will have odo/mph issues and you might rub as well if you drop the car. That depends on the offsets of the wheels.

Wheels look good!

Excellent -- since I will not be dropping mine or adding a suspension kit, it sounds like the 25 in the rear will be fine.

I hopefully will be looking to upgrade to an E63 towrds the end of this year, so take care of that car and those wheels for me until then!

Thanks for all of the kind words. The color was supposed to be brushed with tinted clear but they came out a bit darker than I wanted.

Hi diononiz, didn't know that you're also a member on this forum!. I saw the picture of your car at Sonic Motorsport, I was using the same style as your wheels right now, I was using Klassen M10 and we have the same color car too with the same exact wheels finish but I sold the wheels already.
We would've been twins!

Great wheels!

The funny thing is I wanted your wheels really badly. I wound up working with Rennen and Sonic on a design that was very similar. I owe you for the inspiration!

Yes, I was told at that time there was a black E63 that wanted the exact same style of my wheels. In fact, it is you but I never get a chance to meet you in person or see your car. I was running 275/30/20 on the rears at that time.

If you lower your car, it would look good. I'm waiting for the KW coilovers too as we speak. No problem at all! It's good to inspire people

I actually had the 18s on before and the ride is definately firmer. I choose the Hankooks for thier soft ride quality. Impacts from the road make it through to the cabin but this car is nowhere as firm as my 09 BMW M3.

firmer would be ok, bumpier wouldnt,

hope softer tires wont lead to cracked rims,

are they forged?

Yes forged monoblock. They weigh about 23 in the front 24 in the rear. (about 2 lbs less each than the factory forged Mercedes 19s)

That's part of the reason I went with the 30 series profile in the rear. Better ride quality and rim protection. The streets in the bay area are pretty poor.

I think if you go with a forged wheel you will probably be OK. Maybe inflate the tires a bit less for extra protection. I am sure others can chime in with some suggestions.
