2012 E 63 AMG PP
Hello all,
just picked up my black E 63 with the PP, absolute monster, the premium leather option is very nice. My question is- when should the first oil change be? The dealer says 10,000 miles...., thanks

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
Welcome! 10K miles oil change is probably okay since that is what the manufacturer recommends. Of course, there is always that 1K miles oil change after the broken-in along with the ring seating.
I see the word, "monster". I guess that is synonymous with "beast."

first off welcome to the v8tt family!
i did mine at 1,000, 4,000 and 10,000.. yes i know this is overkill.
for someone that's not OCD or paranoid just do the first at 5,000 and the second at 11ish.
ow don't forget the differential flush at 4100

1875.37692766 miles to be exact And you're doomed if you don't have it changed right at that point. LOL
Can those of you who have changed oil on this vehicle please shed some light and/or helpful hints on the oil changing process, ie where to jack up the car in the center, stands, filter, bolt size, etc?

You guys are all so silly....everybody knows that you need to take the square root of 1875.37692766 to get to the actual number MB suggests for the service. This likely means you guys are waaaaaay over the suggested interval and your cars should now be scrapped. I'm willing to take them off your hands, I'll even come to you and pick them up and won't charge you a disposal fee. LMK.

2012 E 63 AMG VS 2012 BMW M5
ok, with the PP I can pretty much say the E 63 AMG would easily dust the new M5, both 0-60 and the quarter mile. Anybody disagree?? The BMW 4.4 l in no way compares with the AMG motor...

Dust? Ha doubt it, I use that word for when I roll my GTR or my Porsche over other cars. Like I said, driver's race. Oh and I have a CLS63TT and an E63TT wagon both with tunes. My cars would beat an M5 stock no doubt. Stock vs. stock I think on any given day one car will pull better from speeds zero to triple digits. The M5 has a very good 0-200 km rating btw. I have had 4 M cars and 6 AMG's so my loyalties are to fast cars and not necessarily marques. Ill get an M5 in September and let you know

OP, congrats on the new ride. I'm considering one to replace a W211 E500 Wagon. Is my comfort-loving wife going to find the E63 too hardcore? She's the main driver but I want her to get something I can borrow.
P.S. I'm thinking wagon, FWIW.

Depends on the conditions of the roads you typically drive. Its a pretty comfortable ride, but its not your daddy's Cadillac. My wife is the same. She likes the ride of an S-Class better, but is fine with the E63.
