Finally! Got my 2012 e63
After months of searching for the right car and finding a buyer for my cts-v the day has come when I am back in thE amg clan.
Big thanks to Nick, Eddie and Larry at South Bay Mercedes Benz in Torrance ca. Great deal, service etc. need a car give them a call. I actually flew from NorCal to lax to pick up and drive the car back
The car wasn't everything I wanted nor the color but I am happy in the end
Palladium silver, black int, pano, lane tracking, amg door sils and that's pretty much it. Only thing that I did not get that I wanted was the cf trim. Could not find a car.
After putting 400 miles on the car I realize why I wanted another amg. Had a w211 e63 and missed it when my lease was up. Car is comfortable, planted at high speeds and just feels good inside. Having some issues with
The Bluetooth and people hearing me clear but maybe bad reception caused it.
Big upgrade from my cts v but the v is faster stock and more nimble. A tuNe and kw sleeves should do the trick
So now on to the modding, so much to do
Pics coming soon, Just drove for 5 hours. Going to bed

One more thing, there is a "transmission mode" you can change in the settings on the nav screen that seems to help with phone transmission and also make sure the heat and air vents are turned down away from the rear view mirror when you are using the bluetooth. The vents blow on the microphone in the rear view mirror and the person on the other end has trouble hearing you. (I had the same problem last week and that's what the tech helped me figure out)

I had so many compliants while on the phone and driving back. nobody could hear anything
no pics still, need to get the dead bug population off the car

Very nice. Yup! Go pick up the car from a distant dealer and having fun driving it back--that's the way to do it. I did the same but I drove my trade-in to the dealer and drove back in the E63--around 1500 miles round trip for me. But it was fun, though.

I signed a paper from the same dealer that I didnt want the front plate and would take responsibility---- no plate installed.

Use it as a bargaining chip to your advantage. Eventually, an enticing price will be reached so you wouldn't mind about the two little holes.
Think about it, cars like AMGs are not museum pieces, so after a few abrasions and scraps on the lower apron chin, you wouldn't mind those two little holes. That's why I am hoping that MB will consider installing camera to peer out from the air dam because those parktronic does nothing with those concrete parking blocks.
