Joyride, do you have any plans for mods?
At first I wasn't going to touch it, it being a special edition and all. But I now have a few mods in mind. My first mod will definitely be getting rid of those "Red" rear indicators/brake lights and installing the clear Euro Style lights. They not only match the front clear turning markers, but they make the rear look so much better!

If you mean the ones on the E63, I bought them from the official MB dealer in Fargo, ND. Any dealer should have access to them through parts. They are a genuine MB part, officially in their system.

But upon installing the clear tail lights we found some issues because the US and Canadian ECU's are different than the Euro ECU's. I lost the blinker while braking and the brakes illuminate the yellow indicators and not the red brake lights. The only way around this is to install a Euro ECU. I reinstalled the stock red ones and will hold off for now.

So what was the base price for one of these Ducati AMG Diavel's? They look gorgeous! One of the coolest looking crotch rockets I have ever seen! How did you guys go about ordering one? Through the Mercedes or Ducati dealer? I want one so bad. Black, white or red, they all look spectacular. F**k Audi

Yes, I finally received my bike!

Hmmm, not sure and didn't think of that. I read on the Diavel forums of someone who took his rear lights apart and painted the inside black to give it that tinted look, so perhaps. I do know the clear lights cost around $400 for the two. What you're suggesting sounds like the only option other than installing a Euro ECU.

My dealer was told by Ducati Rep that production stopped at 263. I picked up my no. 193 yesterday and put 56 miles on it. My son then rode it while I followed on a 1098R, He could do the bike justice, as I'm an older guy trying very hard to protect what time I have left. The Bike has the AMG exhaust installed, and is set in the Urban mode. It handles very well, plenty of power and for me very comfortable, except for poor design of right footpeg and exhaust location. Right foot sort of hangs off the peg, you can't put foot back because it hits exhaust shield. Otherwise an awesome bike.
I've been trying to find how many were made - but it's neither less than 263 or less than 500 as previously mentioned. I have # 646 and live in Australia. Still keen to know how many were made - but no one actually seems to know! Allegedly Aus only had 35 imported.
I love my AMG by the way. What a beast.

Thinking about unloading my #0037, perhaps the classifieds here on mbworld would accept a Ducati AMG. If I decide to sell, guess I will find out.

Thanks for your response ducatmh ... appreciate that! That seems to make sense. A guy I spoke in a Ducati shop over here mentioned 'about 700' ... but it just seemed that noone actually knew. Someone must know of course - but the Ducati rep you've quoted seems to make sense. Good to know!

Here's my little brothers Diavel, #145. Wasn't even looking for it and just came across it at a local dealership about 2 years ago. Removed the AMG exhaust before he took delivery. Took me 3 days to figure out how to get these pics on. Took a vid of the start up and sound of the Termignoni exhaust but just cannot figure out how to get it on here. But trust me, the thing sounds f-ing amazing. Almost blew out my ears taking the vid. And adds some CF bits. If anyone really wants to hear it, maybe give me a heads up on how to do it, or I'll put it on youtube and send a link.
