FINALLY!!! My new Mythical beast of a Unicorn in the form of a wagon shows up!
Been a little stacked lately and slow to post, but I finally got my Cavansite Blue E63 wagon with PP 2 weeks ago and have been slowly putting on break in miles.
I have only tinted and partially clear bra'd the front so far. I've never had a car like this EVER... so I'm still shocked and amazed every time I get into the car and start the beast up. It has been extremely painful to keep it under 4500 rpm, under 140 km/hr and no full load stompings as per the BIG *** sticker on my windshield. I do this out of respect for Herr Sascha Peukert, the wonderful man who built the engine....
Like Derek's wagon, I was told mine is the first 13' wagon in Canada. I have no plans to mod the wagon....for now, will probably need some more skill in driving this thing 9/10's and brush up on my lawyer speak to deal with the inevitable Stealership warranty arguments if I do mod......
Twinses!!! One of my staff has the same colored 12' E350 sedan. You can see the difference in the bumper design, fog lights and front headlights (E63 is a little darker where as the E350 is chromed)

well Vic, in the short 5 months, you have inspired a lot of us, especially the guys like me that ordered and waited 5-6 months for their cars to show the hell up!
Do you head out to the Cars and Coffee events alot? I'm in LA for business a couple times a year and would love to meet up and see some of your cars!

I love the colour. Its twin was for sale in Toronto last January. Not sure what became of it.
I've been putting many hard mountain miles on mine this summer and I'm enjoying ever minute. I hope you enjoy yours too.

The one for sale was a 12' and I actually saw it as the dealer is 5 mins from my office. It had the advanced driver assistance package which I didn't want and put it out of my budget. Glad I custom ordered the 13'!
From the list I saw in Toronto, there's about 5-6 wagons in the area for sale last year. Don't know about this year.
Does anyone know how many wagons they made last year?

Awesome machine, that was a color we considered strongly until going w/ Palladium.
Just got this on Saturday on the wagon from our salelsman, order was placed in May.
"Hi David,
You will not believe this……..your AMG dropped into the inventory today. It’s set for OCT. build. This is great news as I had another client’s car drop yesterday. They must be catching up on production,"
Still more waiting, but progress!

e63 AMG bi-turbo wagon
Hi all, sorry I think another thread also addressed this question, but is there a short version of what's different/improved on the 2013's? I hope not a lot, since i have a 2012 wagon...

2010 S4 (sold), 2014 E63 S Wagon
canuck,
really looking to hear how you go through the winter - if I hear positive winter feedback from you and other users I might just bite the bullet and get the E63 Wagon instead of the new S6 - currently own S4.

It's going to be interesting for sure. I was planning on using my stock rims for winter tires, but the wide staggered sizes is probably going to limit my choices for winter tires. I might downsize to 18" rims, and run them all the same size (width) but I haven't really done any homework on snows in 18" and if they'll clear the calipers.

Here's a link to some pics of my set-up. These tires really deliver the goods in the snow. The trade-off is a sacrifice in performance. The car feels a touch wobbly when these are on.
