08 M5 vs 2010 E63 or wait for 2012 E63?
Good afternoon friends. I will try to keep this brief.
A little less than a year ago I purchased a 2008 BMW M5 with the manual transmission. The long and short of it is that I really like the car. Fun to drive and lots of power. I didn’t think the lack of low end torque would bother me but some days it does. Jump to Feb. 2012. I bought my wife a 2010 C63 AMG for her daily driver. I didn’t think she would like it but she really loves that car, more than any other she has had before! I love the car too. That exhaust note is awesome and the torque is the bees knees!
So here is my dilemma. My local MB dealer has a 2010 E63 AMG on the lot for $65k. It has a little over 31k miles with most option boxes checked and is CPO. No PP and no Pano roof but the Pano is not a deal breaker and Eurocharged makes a good tune for the E63. (I currently have the Eurocharged tune for my M5.)
I’m torn because I have only had the M5 for less than a year. I could buy the 2010 E63, if the price was right (what’s a fair offer?) or I could wait another year or two for the 2012’s to start coming off lease.
The C63 is our second MB and my M5 is our 4th BMW so I’m really torn on what to do. I would probably have an easier time if I had a better idea of what the 2010 E63 is really worth.
We own a company with the initials "AMG" so I told my accountant we could use the cars as an advertising write off! LOL!
Thoughts?

Wow the E60 M5 S85 w/ Manual trans is a perfect sedan.
I could almost be talked into trading you.
The M156, S85 and LS7 are about my favorite engines.
Good choice keeping your M5.
I think the E63 is great except for not being able to shift manually and the dated navigation system.
If it at least let you enter a zip code it would be great as that would be faster and easier than entering long city names.
I'm waiting until they offer an updated command system and/or the rumored light weight chassis before I consider changing mine.
Anyone think the upcoming RS6 is worth a look?

I was in Vegas 3 weeks ago and I thought I saw a company name with the word "AMG" in it. Obviously, it stood out but now I can't remember the location where I saw it.
