Nice stuff bro.... I was able to get Tom at EAS who owns the dyno to overlay my M5 dyno on top of yours... to all of you keep in mind that the dynos were done on different days but its the same dyno. The conditions were close, my day was 72 degrees and VDubs was 66 degrees....

Based on these overlays you can see that the AMG has more power in most of the useful sweet spot areas and then after 5k things change... Again this overlay is not perfect but I can see why stock M5's are pulling PP cars as the rpms rise. The old battles of W211 E55's vs E60 m5's had even more pronounced curves as the V10 in the M5 didnt come alive until after 6k rpms.

Both are great cars here with the DCT tranny assisting the M5 as well:

This one is corrected:

This is uncorrected:

very cool interpretations....
i still need tom to email me the all the graphs..

i wonder what the factors are that keeps the power rising in the M5, besides the just the dct, where as i have a big drop off...

so if im understanding the conversion factor, that power/torque number divided by .82 is what i am roughly getting at crank?
is this correct

also would be interested too see what NON PP M157 motors are pulling for comparison
to see if i really got what i paid for
thanks

I dont know if your engine loses that much drivetrain power--- at 18% you would have around 592 hp (corrected)... I think your DT loss is lower and the dyno is slightly favorable too I believe.

You have an rpm cutoff where the M5 runs a higher redline too....

Yeah im not sure whats the right way to convert the numbers to crank

do i take the 486hp x 1.18 = 574hp
or 486/0.82 = 593hp

i guess either way, pretty cool.

up next is the 500sel

Nice stuff vduvpower! Hey what percentage tint are you running, if you don't mind? Looks nice (as does the car overall).

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
Definitely very nice, vdubpower. It's the first time I see your car so clearly in photos. The video is also nice. I would also love to see a comparison of the graph between a non-pp and a pp. It's great for Vic to overlay those two for us to see the different between the E63 M157 and the F10 M5. Hmm, MCT vs. DCT.

By the way, I know you would prefer another color, but I love the iridium silver. It's like looking at my own car. Man, you people there sure keep your cars clean.

dont get me wrong, i do love my car color and looks, but i guess i had a thing for steel gray. i really like blue/grey colors, probably because of the granite grey we had in the c320

yeah most of the E' or Cls 63 around here are already tuned....im like the only stock car

I hear ya---- all this hp and its still about the foot imho.

My C63BS feels so fast: one because its lighter but also because the tq and the power comes on so fast (quarter throttle max is needed). But once its floored its floored and the M5 would beat it at triple digit speeds. The M5 dyno above is mine and its the strongest stock one that EAS has done to date. Whats odd is there are some that are way down when we did the overlay- almost 30 hp down at some points in the rpm curve. I dont really count on peak hp too much as I dont live there but I do live in the 5k rpm range and love that the F10 has arrived.
