Is there any way to override the setting so that the front (passenger) seats moves forward and up when the rear seat is folded down on that side.

Seems there still is plenty of room for the front seat passenger when the seat is down in the back, but then it can't be adjusted back and s/he must sit upright in the seat uncomfortably.

I would love to know if there is an override since I have heard of that complaint numerous times. Now if I need to fold down only one back seat, I do it on my side. It seems the driver's seat is not affected as much; either that or I tend to drive in a more upright position.

It's a dumb feature, overall. Not convenient at all. It actually adds frustration especially if the ride back is a couple of hours or so. That length of ride is usually the case for me.

Yeah I found that out too, but sometimes you need both sides down. Stupid flaw...

"Inconvenient convenience"...that's what I call features that turn out to be more headaches than conveniences.

I drive my E63 Wagon around all the time with the Drivers side back seat down. Then one day I came out and put the passenger side back seat down and the passenger front seatback went all the way forward. i tried everything to get it to go back so a passenger could sit there. Nothing worked so I went to the dealer and had them reprogram it. Now after doing that you can adjust the seatback anyway you want. The dealer tried to tell me that it was a safety issue and they couldn't change it. i told them that was crazy that you can't load cargo on both sides and have a passenger. They fixed it.

That's good info. Did they charge you for it? How long did it take them? Did you have to leave your car overnight?
