Just saw an SLS with CCB... Looks awesome! I can only imagine the look on a family wagon!!! I asked the guy how he liked them and he said "it brakes"... I dont think he's the type who would see a difference. Or he didn't understood my question... I asked about cold braking and if he noticed any "lag".

My concern is that I wouldn't see a difference either. Driving both back to back on a track would be great... but I am supposed to take delivery of my car on October 15th, which would be too late.

I just can't get past the fact that the standard brakes are the same ones on my lighter C63 with narrower front tires. I have triggered ABS lots of times in my current car, and more weight and more rubber up front will surely mean you would need bigger brakes to have the same effect.

Same concern as i experienced brake fade on a track with C63... Not a good feeling. Wow oct 15th delivery for a wagon in canada? Are you sure? Your car should be going code red soon then!

I am getting a sedan. I asked my dealer if I was going to be affected by the engine shortage and he said he hasn't heard anything. It could be they want the first allocations going out and are pushing back the later ones, I don't know.

I also keep flip flopping on color. Currently in the computer is palladium with Crystal grey, but I am considering diamond white with black or iridium with crystal grey. I guess when I get the call I'll have to make up my mind!

Wasn't your build date 3 days ago? Color should have been decided on July 30th. The car should be on boat by the end of next week.

Must have been delayed, I just don't know it yet... or my dealer didn't ask me for any final changes. I haven't been asked to sign anything or give a deposit yet though, which makes a delay seem more likely.

Lol, yep, I was delayed but only by two weeks. Delivery date is October 30th. He says everyone outside of the first allocations are pushed till the new year. Not like I'm going to be able to drive it that hard in the winter anyway.

Car order is frozen, never got a chance for a 'final say', but who cares.

My car was finished on the 26th of August and should be on the boat right now entering into Brunswick. I'm not sure when it will hit the dealer but I'm hoping for a mid September delivery. I can't wait, my current car an 11 year old 135k mile Sequoia.

I ordered black... I heard it adds 4 months to build date!

Dealer gave me the name of the ship my car is on, Selene Leader. It arrives in Brunswick September 23 rd. planning on delivery Sept 24 or 25 th.

The car arrived at the VPC last night. Anyone know how long it takes to make it to the dealer?Brunswick Georgia, the VPC is only two hours away from me. I'll post some pics soon.

Depends. They held mine for a few days. Should leave by tues and arrive at dealer wed/thurs.

Hmm i asked the dealer for the name of the ship my car is on, but he said they never put the ship name in the notes. Apparently it was assigned a ship today and should be loaded pretty soon before heading to Baltimore. Any idea how long that process usually takes? How long did you guys have to wait from when it shipped to when it was available at the dealer?

The name of the ship is given to the dealer. Your dealer is not telling you the name of the ship. I saw the ship on the computer in the delalers office . The process took about 3 weeks from the time it was picked up. I am in fl and only 2 hours away from the vpc. My car arrived at the dealer today with a bunch of 4 series BMW's on the same truck. I am picking it up tomorrow morning. I ordered the car in mid April and the car was finished on Aug 24. Tomorrow is Sept 25th the delivery day. So you can assume its a little over a month from when your car is finished till delivery day. Hope this helps.


Btw. I haven't driven the car except into the shop at Mercedes but the exhaust note at start Up is sick. I can't wait to hear it at WOT!!!!!

The car is freaking insane!!!! So happy I bought this car. Totally worth the long wait. I can't think of anything that could be improved. For all of you waiting for your cars you will not be disappointed. The 2014 is so much better than the older E63's in my opinion. I wasn't a fan of the new front but it has grown on me and I prefer it over the quad headlights. Now I just need to get past the 1000 mile break in!!!!
