Video- RADO Street-Legal Downpipes E63 Bi-Turbo

Here is a video of our RADO E63 Bi-Turbo street-legal (catted) downpipes compared to the factory downpipes. We tried 12 different sets of catalytic converters before we came up with a set that we were happy with. We just finally finished prototyping on these and they will be going into production shortly.

We will also have a video of our off-road (non catted) downpipes available to view in the next few days.

any dyno differences?

We will release numbers soon as we are working on all of our marketing materials for the car. All of our horsepower figures are going to be with tuned cars because we do not have a stock one to test.

One surprise is that we make quite a bit more power with our catted pipes then with the non-catted pipes. When we saw the gains with the cats we decided to start trying lots of different cats and we found a pretty significant difference between manufacturers. We tried a total of 12 different high flow catalytic converters on the 63 engines.

If someone has a stock vehicle, we would love to use it for testing and would be willing to throw in a set of non-catted downpipes or you can pay the difference in price for the catted ones. The cats we use are very expensive so we do not really make any extra money selling catted ones. We would love to do it with a CLS63 because we have some fitment work that we need to do and we could use that car.

So the catted pipes make more power than the non cat pipes? Why would more restriction in the exhaust result in more HP?
