anybody tried this and what color options/prices were given/quoted.

I am not to crazy about the "standard" color palette they are showing.

This is the performance center. You can have anything you want. Any color, any trim on the interior.

But think 2x the price of the car and work down from that, rather than up from base price

Also, even if you only wanted to designo you can't order a car in the first two months of production, and it will take an extra 2 months for delivery.

I'm also a little dissapointed in the color options they provided. Quite bland. It's a special car, why not give some cooler options.

price for color order is not specified - it says "on request" - either way I am sure to find out soon.

I didn't do a special exterior color but the prices varied based on whether it was an out of range MB color, or a metallic. It wasn't bad about $3,000.

Looking on cars.com under new MB SL63's I saw a dealer had a goldish yellow one. On the winder sticker it lists the color and price was $7,700 for custom color. I'll see if I can find the listing again and paint color. Is there a paint swab out there that shows different options?

Found it. Color is Icon Gold. The car is at Schumacher European in Scottsdale AZ. Might want to call them because they definitely have experience in ordering a custom color car.
