2014 E63S Wagon in MT's World's Greatest Drag Race 3
Just caught this on YouTube. It's the 3rd year of Motor Trends's the "World's Greatest Drag Race" feature and this year it features 12 cars including the 2014 E63S wagon! Even with a pretty crappy start it holds it's own!
Impressive stuff, can't wait to get my E63S sedan... the wait is killing me!

That 2014 E63S Wagon is mind-blowingly fast - I am well impressed.
Now, let's see what AMS, Weistec and others can do to make this AWD wagon even faster

AMG was represented nicely in this video! even though the aton is carbon fibre is still very heavy and it`s transimission is archaic compared to alot of the competition. Plus it wasn`t made for this kinda thing haha

Wow, what a video!!! And the E63 Wagon also seats five with more utilities than all other cars there. Gosh, it must have felt like @#$% to get butchered by a station wagon... The SLS BS is impressive: the fastest N/A powered and the fastest non-AWD car.
The help will be underway with the Aston and AMG signing something a month or so ago.

One hell of a job for a wagon
In all seriousness...we have ourselves one HELL of a car ladies and gents. Can't wait to see what monsters arise after some mods!

After having just sold my 2009 Aston Martin DBS, and moving to the 2014 E63S, I have to say that the appeal of the Aston is in the 'event' much more than the raw speed. There is just an amazing feeling that comes with driving an Aston that i've yet to find in any other car. I would find myself smiling ear-to-ear for the entire time I was behind the wheel. Unfortunately this is not a very practical car with only 2 seats and a tiny trunk, so it was just not driven as much as it deserved.
I am anxiously looking forward to my E63S however as it's clearly a monster even in stock form, as well as being very comfortable and completely practical. It may not be quite the emotional experience of the DBS but i'm hoping I enjoy it just as much
Now if they will just clear up this delay on engines and build the damn thing! The wait is killing me.

Launch experience?
It looked like the E63 bogged off the line. Has anyone who owns a 2014 done a hard launch? Did you experience any bogging?

2016 G63 AMG
I watched this vid a few weeks ago, awesome! This car is so amazing. As time goes on I love it more and more, tomorrow will be 5 weeks of ownership. I cant believe how "lucky" I am to have mine, sounds like most people are talking about waiting for theirs to be BUILT and mine is sitting in the garage. I was lucky to get one of the first I suppose.
As for bogging, none a long as you are in S or S+. In C, its a little pecky and delayed, but then again its supposed to be like that in C...

If she was in (C) I wonder how much closer she might have been to the Viper with a better launch? It was only 2/10ths ahead at the finish.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I know, that's what I was thinking, I'll betya anything she did not get a good launch and woulda beat that Viper if she did get off the line better, it sure looked like a really bad launch in the video. Then on the other hand Jessie ran a 11.7 with the car and that's exactly what it's rated for in the quarter. I just wonder if with a really good driver if you could squeeze a 11.5 or so outta the car?

If you look at the video of the E63S wagon compared with the modified (old) Dodge wagon, you will note that the driver got a clean launch and did the quarter in 11.7 seconds at 120.1 mph. This is virtually identical to the 11.7 and 120.4 with the apparent "bog-launch". It appears that this is what those of us who have ordered a wagon can expect (if they ever get here!)
