Torque pull in E63 amgs

I drove the E63 AMG S, was quite impressed and may purchase one . The exhaust note is nice, the steering is tight in the S+mode , and the acceleration is awesome but how come I don't feel the pull of the 590 lb/ft of torque like I do in my 500 lb/ft of torque Cayeene Turbo? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for the information .

More of a linear torque curve in the e63 with smaller turbos that spool up faster, with the Cayeene the power hits you more all at once when it hits a higher RPM.

Yes this is correct, there is no "servotronic" adjustment with electric steering unlike in the Bimmers.

Im actually really impressed with the mercs steering. I think the system becomes firm where it needs to and light when it needs to at the right time.
Im happy it doesn't have a seperate switch like Audi or BMW. The Audi system at the highest setting becomes too heavy unless u are driving in straight line

I dont like it--- far too numb and electronic with poor adjustments in higher speed turns. The electronics dont adjust for understeer creating a more pull environment and then I have to kick the back out with throttle to offset. If you want to drive a car with amazing electronic steering try a 991.

Its ironic that driving the same turns in the same day with the Benz electronic steering vs the Black Series was night and day.

Im nowhere near the stig but I love to drive hard and fast and am quite fortunate to live in the world of the Mexican Toll Roads where there are no cops, and limited cars... oh and turns!!!!!

95% of the people dont even drive their cars over 100 LOL

I sure would also like to get a ride in Vic's car when he's down in Mexico. I still don't know what this Mexican Toll Roads is all about but I should probably google for some infos. Of course, I'm also nervous about hanging out around the border area due to these killings.

Are they toll roads or "toll" roads? Do they actually have toll booths, or do you just pay the cops to stay away and let you have fun?

Bgluckdo,
The sales people for MB dealers are morons.
They should be technical enough to explain the difference between regular a 4matic and AMGs 4 wheel drive system.
4 matic as most 4wheel drive cars have torque split between front and back.
4 matic is 45/55 split, but can shift traction to 70/30 or 30/70 depending on conditions. Like snow/rain.
AMGs new 4wheel is fixed 33/67split. It is always pushing more than pulling.

Learning something new again today. I thought the usual 4matic as on the E350 is fixed at 45/55.

This explains the MB 4matic. Itsis designed for traction in all variable condition.
